Charm me away

Posted by Chris at 11:00 pm

Davis and I celebrated our 6 year annivesary this past Sunday at Niagara-on-the-lake.  What a graceful little town!!  There was so much beauty everywhere I looked.  Even a simple field of grass was more captivating than in anything else in Toronto.  I felt like I had been transported to a world only written about in books.  Instead of overloading you with ineloquent words, here are a few snapshots of the magical place:

We went to a winery called Château des Charmes.

Carriages!  How romantic... if you're into that sort of Disney princess thing.  I'd rather ditch the fancy carriage, get on the horse and ride off into the sunset with cowboy boots and chaps.  Ya... chaps.. How romantic!!

And since this IS a fashion blog:

Dress: Under.Ligne by Doo Ri (ASOS is still carrying it here) - This piece is amazing.  It comfortably falls on the body and the lines are simply beautiful.  Doo Ri is known for her drapey jersey dresses and I completely understand why now.
Flats: Michael Kors
Fringe Purse: Melie Bianco

Gotta thank the Mister :)

Guide to Visiting an Art Gallery

Posted by Chris at 9:34 pm

  1. Ouu and Ahh at every single thing you see
  2. Find adjectives to define what is before you - add in words that you don't even know for bigger effect
  3. Treat everything as art, including the drinking fountains and wooden benches.  Trust me, they are probably art.
  4. Repeat 1-3 until your partner complains of extreme boredom.
  5. Allow him to drag you out of the gallery.

Davis and I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario yesterday afternoon for a mini cultured trip.  We had a pass to get us both in for free, so I figured we ought to go so we can at least say we've been there before.  My artistry only goes as far as makeup so I did not know what to expect stepping into this gallery.  To be honest and completely unpretentious, I actually really enjoyed the European collection.  I am not even going to pretend I know what I'm talking about, but dude, that detail of that stuff was amazing!  That's really the only good thing I have to say about the gallery.  I managed to sneak in some pictures because I am just dangerous like that.

zomg, rocks and mirrors make such great art!  Our shoes make even better art.

Frames: Davis'  Giorgio Armani glasses from 10 years ago.  Vintage!
Sweater: Sears - Men's department
Vest: GAP
Jeans: Buffalo
Shoes: Deena & Ozzy lace up booties from UO
Purse: My favourite everyday purse from UO

Here's to a great week, guys!
