Pains of a fashion blogger
While we fashion bloggers all love fashion (duh..) and have our own tastes and styles, we find that we constantly need to push ourselves beyond all that to provide good and fresh content for our audience. At least I feel this way. Sometimes I catch myself wanting to create a "super unique outfit" just so I can post it on my blog and have something interesting for my audience. Really, 5 days of the 7 in a week, I don't have these super creative outfits. Fellow bloggers, do you find that we try too hard sometimes? We put on too many accessories, drape on too many layers, think too much in our outfit construction, get too matchy-matchy and overall put in too much effort.
I really want this blog to reflect my own point of view, no matter if it's unique or significantly less than that.
Shirt: GAP
Pants: Initial at Hong Kong - these are amazing and fit extremely well. I bought many pairs of pants when I was there because everything was made for the asian body. Nothing's more exciting than well-fitted pants! It's like discovering landmass.

I just found your blog – really like it so far!
I know what you mean..that’s probably why I don’t post my outfits everyday. I do repeats/wear something similar for a few times during the week lol

THat shirt is sooo awesome, but those pants are my favourite part. You look so good.
I do agree that it gets hard sometimes but i greatly enjoy my evenings or mornings when i put together outfits. There is pressure though, but I don’t focus on that and I just do my thing.

great outfit, and I can relate to feeling inspired to pull something unique together every day! I’ve been loving the challenge, though. If I feel gross, I’ve found out what doesn’t work, if I feel great, then great!!

Great, classic outfit. I love your outfit posts!
I get where you’re coming from about the pressure to put together unique outfits to post. That’s the fun of blogging for me – pushing myself to look in the corners of my closet for items that haven’t seen the light of day in a while, to be more adventurous with the tops and bottoms and accessories I pair together and to open my mind to new ideas I never thought would work for me but really can. Outfit posts stop me from wearing the same top and jeans over and over and over again, while other lovely things sit in my closet unworn. I’m learning to be more creative and to have more of an open mind with my style!

Cute and classic button-up! I agree that some bloggers try way too hard, posting outfits you’d never see them walking in on the street. I always think, just be yourself! In any case, you look super cute!

I think you look great. what a good work outfit. I’m in the same boat. either I feel like I have a great outfit on but not in the mood for pictures or the other way around.
It’s hard to remain inspired and be sure of what your personal style is. I’m still experimenting. I think that really is the best thing about fashion blogging-finding out what your personal style is.

I think a simple outfit is so much harder to pull off – it takes a lot of charm to make a simple outfit look put together and stylish. I am always envious of people that can wear a classic shirt and trousers and still look amazing.
In general, I like to dress a bit complicated, but I try not to ‘dress up’ for my blog. That’s why I only take pictures of outfits that I actually wear, doing what I would normally do. I appreciate the bloggers that have photoshoots and put together more inspirational/artistic outfits but that’s just not the way I personally wanted to do my blog – more out of practicality, it just takes more time and energy to be that creative.

Hi!
I enjoy your reading your blog! I especially love the just-chris tine thing. I suppose I’m bias since my name is Christine.
Anyway I’m glad you stumbled across my blog which brought me to yours.
Fashion+blogging is very interesting to me. I won’t get into it because I’ll have so much to write! I will just agree that I am more conscious of what I wear because I want it to be “blog-worthy.” I have to admit, it’s almost shameful. But I think as long as we’re happy love fashion anyway, it’s okay?!
I am glad that you will try to just have this blog reflect what you want, and what interests you.
I look forward to reading your future posts. =)
HAppy almost weekend!

Agreed, some of the fashion bloggers are just a little too …accesoirized (if I may call it that way). And I love your outfit in this post. Just perfectly simple and incredibly nice.
